The thin one: The Ameris Bank Jacksonville Half Marathon, one of the city’s most established running traditions, meanders through portions of Mandarin for its 37th edition on Sunday morning. The race will only run on the half marathon and 5K distances without the traditional 26.2 mile marathon. Additional protocols, including pre and post-race masks, wave starts, and 6-foot space around the start line, will be put in place due to the coronavirus pandemic. Last year’s edition took place in January, technically making this race the second Ameris Bank Jacksonville Half Marathon of 2020. Troy Dunkley and Crystal Davis were the full marathon winners last time, while Kyle Masterson was the men’s half marathon and the former Providence School and University of . Florida runner Eden Meyer set a course record in the women’s half marathon.
