Students at the new facility will use over 500 square meters of classrooms, study areas, meeting rooms and simulator spaces as part of ATP’s accelerated Airline Career Pilot program. Fast-track students can move from zero experience to commercial pilot in just nine months. College students can exercise on a flexible 18 month timeline while attending each of Jacksonville’s Universities.
When students become flight pilots, they first gain experience as certified flight instructors (CFI). The Jacksonville The location hosts ATP’s exclusive CFI Academy and Flight Instructor Indoctrination programs, which focus on this pilot development. The addition of physical exercise room at Jacksonville Executive increases capacity and throughput for the rest of the statewide network.
The delivery of 25 brand new Piper Archers will complement the expansion of the training center and expand ATP’s training capacity during 2021. An 18,350 square foot on-site maintenance center takes care of the fleet and acts as a hub for ATP’s 14 other maintenance bases across the country ensuring unmatched aircraft availability so students can train on time.
