Two of the four new food concepts available on the VyStar Credit Union Downtown campus will open on May 27th.

Bread & Burger opens in the breeze between the building at 100 W. Bay St. and the parking garage. Estrella Cocina will be installed on the roof of 100 W. Bay St.

Jonathan Cobbs and Dwayne Beliakoff, owners of The Bread & Board, founded the concepts.

“The downtown expansion is the perfect place to support the city’s economic growth as the downtown urban core continues to grow and thrive as an important place to live, eat, play and work,” Cobbs said in a press release Jan. May.

The Estrella Cocina restaurant, bar and lounge are located on the roof of the seventh floor of 100 W. Bay St.

Bread & Burger offers grass-fed beef burgers, herb turkey burgers, crispy chicken breasts, and seasoned lentil patties on brioche buns. The menu also features quarter-pound hand-dipped kosher beef corn dogs and freshly cut french fries topped with garlic butter and herbs, and Oregon white truffle oil.

“Bread & Burger uses our know-how in the preparation of upscale hand dishes to create outstanding, aromatic burgers and shakes from local, fresh ingredients,” said Beliakoff in the press release.

The Estrella Cocina restaurant, bar and lounge are located on the roof of the seventh floor of 100 W. Bay St.

“It offers flavors of Baja Coast Mexican, Baja Mediterranean, and SoCal Mexican cuisine inspired by my travels and heritage.” Beliakoff said.

Bread & Burger and Estrella Cocina will be open to the public at 10am after a ribbon cutting ceremony for guides and guests. Hours are being finalized.

Two more concepts for the VyStar campus, the restaurant The Bread & Board and the marketplace The Bread & Board Provisions, will open in June, according to the publication.

The Bread & Board Regulations provide take-and-go deals and showcase local food and beverage manufacturers.

There will also be an area with products from local suppliers.

“We’re creating a space that is authentic to us as a community,” said Brian Wolfburg, President and CEO of VyStar, in a press release.

“Supporting local small businesses is a constant focus for VyStar. We are proud to be part of an initiative that brings people together and keeps our inner city going.”
