Benjamin Porter, owner of a Mexican street food at Cantina Louie, said his group expects to open the restaurant in the Regency area on Jan. 11.
Styles Smith Plumbing Inc. expanded the 4,800 square foot restaurant and full bar on 1040 Hospitality Lane in the Shoppes of Monument Center on Monument Road and Interstate 295.
Porter said Jan. 4 the restaurant would hold about 175 people and employ 40 to 50 people.
It is open every day at 11 a.m. and closes Sunday to Monday at 9 p.m. and Tuesday to Saturday at 10 p.m.
Porter said the location is Cantina Louie’s ninth location and the third to open in the past six months.

“Best margaritas out there,” said Porter.
Cantina Louie will operate in a new mall owned by a group led by Porter, a partner and president of the group that owns the Cantina Louie locations.
Porter runs Jacksonville Beach-based owner ZT Holdings # 06 LLC.
ShayCore Enterprises Inc. built the 10,662 square foot Hospitality Lane retail building for ZT Holdings at a cost of $ 1.6 million. Porter previously said he anticipates up to four additional tenants for 1,400 square feet each.
“We’re still looking for tenants in the adjoining rooms,” said Porter. The 5,600 square meters are available for rent.
Porter said the total investment in real estate and interior work for the restaurant was approximately $ 3.5 million.
The location is next to a Ruby Tuesday restaurant and a Gate gas station and supermarket and in front of the Hampton Inn.
Porter and Luis Cuevas run ZT Holdings # 06 LLC, which purchased the property from Gate Petroleum Co. in January 2018 for $ 1.1 million.
