FedEx intends to lease the Stag Westlake building in Westlake Industrial Park as a distribution center.
The city is currently considering a permit application for Emerald C’s Development Inc. to build the 231,030-square-foot building at 9779 Pritchard Road in West Jacksonville at a cost of more than $ 1 million.
FedEx Ground is identified as the renter. Plans show FedEx will lease the warehouse, which has 2,272 square feet of office space and 228,758 square feet of warehouse space.
Plans show a loading process for vans and cars, including a package handling area.

According to FedEx Ground, packages up to 150 pounds are delivered to your home every day of the week.
STAG Industrial Holdings LLC from Boston owns the property. Studio9 Architecture of Jacksonville is the architect. Codes-ABC Inc. takes care of code compliance.
Senior Directors Tyler Newman and Jacob Horsley of Cushman & Wakefield of Florida LLC represent the property, which was developed on 18 acres in 2019.
A website brochure states that there are 159 car parking spaces that can increase that number.
The building has 43 truck doors and two entrance doors.
In October, STAG Industrial Inc., a real estate investment firm, bought the warehouse for $ 14.8 million from Johnson Development Associates Inc. of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
