Five New Restaurants in Jacksonville – UNF Spinnaker

As normality gradually returns, more people are keen to go back to local restaurants. Jacksonville is already home to many culinary gems as the city welcomes even more nice places this year.

If you’re interested in trying a new restaurant as opposed to your staple food, check out these new places. If the food in you is still not your priority, these restaurants offer take-away meals as well.

This hot new pizza place is in a downtown Jacksonville event space that’s covered in street art cartoons called Toon Town. Make your pizza dreams come true here by serving them fresh through a window. In addition to the classics, try the best-selling “That Peary Thingy”. The cake consists of gorgonzola, goat cheese, mozzarella, ham, diced pear, rocket and a splash of hot honey.

The opening times are: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Closed Monday to Friday and Saturday.

  • 904 tacos at five points

Big fan of tacos and margaritas, is it Taco Tuesday or not? Then this place is for you. This new place is in a popular neighborhood that is already home to some of the locals’ favorite restaurants. They have so many different options and flavors when it comes to margaritas and tacos that anyone who dines there will enjoy this place.

The opening times are: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Sunday.

This new home is really inspired by the authentic flavors of Italian cuisine. They offer delicious starters and salads, as well as homemade pasta and pizza. They also offer a range of popular entrees such as chicken parmesan, steak, scallops, fish, and more. One of the most popular dishes on the menu is the 13-layer crispy lasagna with pasta sheets, Bolognese, provolone and Parmigiano cheese, marinara, garlic cream and herbs.

Opening times are: Happy Hour daily from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Dinner Sunday – Thursday 4.30 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Dinner Friday and Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

  • Hana Moon Japanese restaurant

After its opening at the end of 2020, the sushi spot made a name for itself with its beautiful presentation of its food. As well as being delicious, the rolls are extremely photogenic.

Opening times are: Monday: closed

Tuesday – Thursday: 11 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.

Friday-Saturday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Sunday: 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Silkie’s Chicken and Champagne Bar

This new restaurant is in the Springfield neighborhood. It offers home cooking and champagne, as well as chicken sandwiches for which they are known. Check out the very popular Flavor Bomb sandwich. It consists of a fried chicken thigh, orange blossom honey and spicy Fernandina beach sauce on a truffle Gouda biscuit.

Opening times are: Sunday-Monday: closed

Tuesday-Thursday: 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Friday-Saturday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
