At least 40 million Americans don’t have enough food for Thanksgiving, according to Farm Share, a nonprofit that delivers about £ 88 million of groceries annually to about 2,000 partner agencies.

An estimated 1,500 families are expected to attend the Farm Share annual Thanksgiving free grocery giveaway in downtown Jacksonville on Saturday.

The food includes frozen turkeys, produce, various shelf stable foods, beverages, and other healthy foods. The first come. The first event takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or when stocks run out and open to the public.

First responders and special guests from Duval County including retired NBA player Artis Gilmore and retired NFL player Laveranues Coles will attend.
