Jaguars’ QB Trevor Lawrence and Adidas Announce NFT Auction for Charities in Jacksonville

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence continues to impact his new ward despite being in town for less than a week. Lawrence combines the efforts of his numerous national advertising deals and uses them to support charities in Jacksonville.

Adidas announced the sale on its Twitter page and website, and unveiled futuristic-looking rookie cards. They are sold and auctioned as NFTs. Non-fungible tokens have taken the market by storm in the past few weeks. To cut short an incredibly difficult and complex explanation, NFTs are essentially digital works of art, trading cards and even autographs. They can be copied, but only one person owns the original.

The NFTs released by Adidas, which will be available as a 3D digital map, feature a profile of Lawrence with the words “First Pick Since Day One” on the front. The back shows a young Trevor Lawrence at an Adidas event, holding a trophy. They will be auctioned and openly displayed starting May 6 at 10 a.m. EST and can be bought and / or bid here.
