Man convicted in 2019 of murder of Jacksonville man who was found dumped on the roadside – Action News Jax
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – John Emory Wilson was found guilty of first degree murder by a jury.
He is convicted of the murder of Dylan McCurdy.
Dylan McCurdy was found dead on the roadside on April 1, 2019, with a gunshot wound to his head.
Witnesses were able to help identify Wilson as a suspect and provide information about the vehicle he was driving.
Wilson drove by when the officers were there the next day. The officers carried out a traffic disruption.
Officials could arrest him on unrelated allegations.
When officers searched the car, they found McCurdy’s blood in several places in the vehicle.
Witnesses confirmed that Wilson shot McCurdy and threw the gun in Sherman’s Creek.
Wilson is now facing life imprisonment and will be officially sentenced next month.
