Models chase a cold front through Jacksonville on Saturday and that’s a good thing

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Cold front approaches Jacksonville later on Saturday, this will drive showers and storms through Georgia early Saturday afternoon and then to Jacksonville in the evenings (3pm – 8pm). Before the cold front, temperatures get very warm, peaking in the low 90s as southwest winds (up to 20 miles per hour) push the heat onto the area’s beaches. The highs along the coast are perhaps the highest they’ve been all week, around 90 degrees.

Look out again for PM storms later on Saturday.

Then dry and cooler air rushes into Jacksonville, which is what really lowers Georgia early Sunday morning temperatures. Folks in Peach State can wake up to morning temperatures in their 50s! Kind! Morning temperatures in Florida will also be comfortable, mostly in the low to mid 60s.

Sunday will be a banner day for sunshine! The highs will be cooler as north winds hold the afternoon highs in the 80s.

Memorial Day also looks pleasantly warm with highs of 87 °. In the afternoon, gusty coastal winds develop from the northeast, which make boating off the coast more difficult.

Danielle will know more about your forecast.

We will be facing tropical moisture at the end of next week
