Sue Mefford, 63, of Jacksonville died on March 6, 2021 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
She was born on May 17, 1957 in Peoria to John Henry and Carol Frances Kilmartin Miller.
Sue is survived by two children, Patti (Jason) Jumper and Eric Mefford, both from Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Sophia and Zoey Jumper; her parents, John and Carol Miller from Jacksonville; four brothers, Daniel (Brenda) Miller of Jacksonville, Mark (Becky) Miller of Auburn, Georgia, and David (Cindy) Miller and Chris Miller, both of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Mefford; and one brother, Michael W. Miller.
Sue graduated from Routt High School in 1975 and worked for the Springfield Clinic for several years. Sue, a gifted artist, excelled at oil painting and also enjoyed flowers, gardening, and cooking. Sue especially appreciated being “Nana” to her two best babies around the world.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 6 p.m. at the Williamson Funeral Home. The family will meet up with friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3pm to 6pm.
