PT Cruiser Show hits St. Augustine while auto shows bloom in Jacksonville

North Florida Corvette Association’s annual Vettes at the Village does not take place this year. Usually held on the Saturday before Father’s Day, Sunday, NFCA organizers look forward to having the 21st Vettes in the village in 2022.

Auto shows

Car parade for the Philippine Independence Day: Jacksonville-based Northeast Florida Filipino-Americans begin their Independence Day celebration in the Philippines by displaying their colors on Saturday at 8 a.m. at American Legion Post 316, 1127 Atlantic Blvd. on the Atlantic beach. At 9 a.m., a car parade celebrating the independence of the Philippines will begin at the Maharlika Sports Bar & Grill on 14255 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville. Vehicles travel west on Beach Boulevard, north on St. John Bluff Road, east on Atlantic Boulevard, south on Florida A1A, and west on Beach Boulevard to return to the sports bar.

Cruise in History X: PT Cruiser Car Show: Saturday and Sunday at the Days Inn at 1300 Ponce de Leon Blvd. in St. Augustine. Free for spectators and $ 45 show day for PT Cruiser show cars. Information:

St. Catherine’s third annual Steak and Wing competition and auto show: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Church on 1649 Kingsley Avenue in Orange Park. Free for spectators and $ 25 for show vehicles on the day of the show, hosted by Clay County Cruzers.

Dino’s Home Plate Diner and Patrick’s Pickup Trucks Car Show: 11am to 3pm Sunday, 1487 Mayport Road. Free.

Jacksonville Area Mopars Poker Run: Starts at 11 a.m. on June 19 at the Jacksonville Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, 7030 Commonwealth Ave. Ends at 3:30 pm at Tom and Bettys Restaurant on 2134 Park Ave. in Orange Park. Event raises money for local charities. More information will follow soon on Facebook @JAMpokerrun.

Hillcrest Baptist Church auto show: Saturday, June 19, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 7673 Collins Road. Proceeds will go to the Healing Hearts Project, which supports Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital and UF patients in pediatrics and cardiology.

Ninth Annual King of the South Car Show: 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26 at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds, 510 Fairground Places. Show vehicles are $ 40 for VIP Inside Registration, $ 30 for VIP Outside Registration, and $ 20 outside of General Registration. Admission for spectators is $ 10.

Hilliard flashes Car-B-Que youth football9 am to 2 pm Sat June 26 at Traders Hill Recreation Campground, 1388 Tracy Ferry Road, Folkston, Georgia.

The Company (Florida International Rally and Moto Park): Open Track Days take place on most weekends on the road and the rally track at 7266 Airport Road in Starke.


Cruise ins

First Coast Car Council, Clay County Cruzers, Callahan Cruisers, and Amelia Cruizers all run regular weekend cruises, so check out their Facebook pages.

NFDCC: Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Aw Shucks, 9743 Old St. Augustine Road. The restaurant is closed but the cruise takes place as the group searches for a new venue for the second Saturday of the month.

Clay County Cruzers: 3pm Saturday at Dick’s Wings Fleming Island.

First Coast Car Council: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Medical & Merchants Center of Mandarin, 11701 San Jose Blvd.

Callahan cruiser: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, 542309 US-1 in Callahan, in aid of the Caden Project, which delivers teddy bears to comforted sick children in hospitals.

CrossRoad Cruise-In: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at CrossRoad Church on 10005 Gate Parkway.

Amelia Kreuzer: Saturday 4pm to 7pm and every third Saturday at Cold Stone Creamery, 808 Sadler Road, Fernandina Beach.

Cars and coffee Fleming Island: 8 am to 11 am every third Sunday of the month at the New Vision Theater on 1820 Town Center Blvd., Fleming Island.

White Brothers Auto Parts Cruise-in: 5pm to 8pm every second Friday of the month, 405 Lane Ave. N.

Cruise fruit bay: 3 p.m. Sat June 19 at 194 Florida 13 in Saint Johns.

Classic Car Museum of St. Augustine monthly cruises: St. Augustine Cruiser’s “Cruise In” from 5pm to 7pm every third Saturday and Cars and Coffee from 8am to 10am every fourth Saturday, both at 4730 US 1 S./Dixie Highway South in St. Augustine.

Clay County Cruzers: Every second Saturday at 3 p.m. at Dick’s Wings, 1803 East-West Parkway in Fleming Island and at 5 p.m. every third Friday at Freddy’s Steakburgers at 386 Blanding Blvd. Both are in Orange Park.

Johnny Engel: 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every third Friday at the Johnny Angels Diner at 3546 St. Johns Bluff Road S.
