Restaurant Notes: Culver’s in Regency, Whataburger in the Atlantic North Take Steps | Jax Daily Record | Jacksonville Daily Record

The city and the St. Johns River Water Management District are currently reviewing plans for the proposed Culver’s Restaurant on 1.91 acres at 101 Monument Road.

Jacksonville’s Barolo Group LLC is the applicant and Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. is the civil engineer. The Barolo Group plans to demolish the gated restaurant on the site and build a 4,365-square-foot Culver’s with a terrace and double passageway.

The owner of the property applies for an exemption for the sale and service of groceries on the premises.

Whataburger to the Atlantic North

The city gave Whataburger permission on April 12 to build in the North Atlantic in East Arlington.

Cloud CM LLC of Atlantic is the contractor for the 3760 square foot restaurant and drive through on 1.25 acres at 11559 Atlantic Blvd. at a cost of $ 1 million.

The Atlantic north lies on the Northwest Atlantic and Kernan boulevards.

The restaurant is located next to the RaceTrac petrol station and the supermarket as well as in front of the Cinemark Theater, which is under construction.

Halff Associates Inc. is the civil engineer.

Bono is near the city center

The city approved Bono’s Pit Bar-BQ of Jacksonville on April 12 to build a 3,000-square-foot (1.03-acre) restaurant on 10065 Skinner Lake Drive near St. Johns Town Center at a cost of $ 1 million to build.

Bono’s President Josh Martino said he hoped to open it in late August or early September. Kaneco Construction of Jacksonville is the contractor.

Design Cooperative LLC is the architect.

The previous store with 3,900 square feet of interior space was damaged by fire and demolished in March 2020.
