Human Bean is looking to open a 600-square-foot drive-through store on Blanding Boulevard across from Bear Run Boulevard in Orange Park, Clay County. EnVision Design & Engineering is the civil engineer.

Human Bean representative Hannah Maynard said the site is slated to open in July or August.

The Human Bean opened its first espresso stand in Ashland, Oregon in 1998.

It expanded to surrounding cities in southern Oregon and began franchising the brand and system in 2002.

The Human Bean brand currently has more than 200 locations open or under development in 23 states.

Tropical smoothie according to Dunn

The city issued a certificate of billing for the mobility fee for a 1,678 square foot Tropical Smoothie Cafe at 1290 Dunn Ave. in North Jacksonville.

The location is on Dunn Avenue and Haverford Road, just west of Interstate 95.

Dyne Development LLC of Little Rock, Arkansas is the developer.

Dyne Hospitality Group is the brand’s largest Tropical Smoothie Cafe franchise. 90 are slated to open by the end of the year.

Wendy’s on the Beachwalk

St. Johns County is reviewing a permit application for Wendy’s on 1.13 acres on the south side of County Road 210 West on Beachwalk.

The 2,371 square meter fast food restaurant will have a drive through. The owner is 4th Avenue Partners LLC of Fort Lauderdale.
