The St. Louis-based grill chain Sugarfire BBQ is being built at its former Panera Bread site at 12959 Atlantic Blvd. opened east of Girvin Road.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla – The Jacksonville BBQ area is expanding to include Sugarfire BBQ. The St. Louis-based restaurant chain is putting the finishing touches to its first Florida location at the former Panera Bread location on 12959 Atlantic Blvd. east of Girvin Road.
The Sugarfire website states, “The newest BBQ torch in Jacksonville, Florida brings a new locally owned and operated location right in the face of our friends and neighbors.”
Construction workers appear to be almost done on the outside of the building while some work continues inside. The website doesn’t specify an opening date, but like the sign on the building it says “Opening soon”.
The Jacksonville restaurant will be Sugarfire’s first location on the east coast. Sugarfire operates just over a dozen restaurants, most of which are in Missouri, along with other businesses in Illinois, Colorado, Iowa, and Texas.
Sugarfire BBQ offers the “best sandwiches in the world” with other signature dishes such as brisket, turkey, pulled pork, homemade sausage, ribs and burgers.
