JACKSONVILLE, Florida – Three people are dead Monday night after a violent incident in the Moncrief area of ​​Jacksonville.

At around 10 p.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office announced that his gang unit was on duty in the Moncrief area. Police then said they heard gunfire in the 4229 W Moncrief Street area of ​​the Calloway Cove Apartments.

Police say they saw a vehicle drive out of the area. At this point, you tried to implement a traffic obstruction. According to JSO, the vehicle was stolen from Clay County.

Police say they tracked the vehicle and the chase ended three miles away when a mining maneuver was carried out near Edgewood Avenue.

According to the JSO, several people were arrested and several firearms recovered.

Police say officers were able to locate a crime scene in an apartment after installing an extra screen in the apartment complex. JSO says they found two dead adult men and one dead woman.

According to JSO, initial evidence of this investigation suggests that this incident may have been drug-related.

It is currently unclear whether the deceased live in the apartment in which they were found.
