Umbrella days return to Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Mother’s Day weekend is likely to be the best weekend weather day we will see all year round. Blue skies and sunshine! Granted, it may have been a cool Saturday morning and evening. Saturday morning started at 46 ° and we had a high of 78 °. A cool breeze was blowing on Saturday evening.

On the way to Tuesday the sky will be filled with clouds and the risk of rain will increase quickly.

Tuesday begins with the umbrella days. What is an “umbrella day”? It is a period of days that you may need an umbrella. Aside from the chances of rain, the heights will approach 90 ° at 3 p.m. and this heat will trigger some evening thunderstorms.

It is Wednesday that the thunderstorms begin to stretch and the danger of rain in Georgia will be widespread with subsequent storms around Jacksonville.

Highs will be in the 80s but a cold front will end that and by Thursday our temperatures will be in the 60s and maybe only 50s in Georgia. The chance of rain is high on Thursday, but it will rain mostly foggy throughout the day.

Our weekend should enlighten us nicely, but briefly as nice as the Mother’s Day weekend.
